Volta Football Hotel | Landmark NYS Pavilion
In this project, my inspiration came directly from the site itself. Through my visits, I noticed three key forces shaping
the character of the place: the way sports naturally bring people together, the rich and varied material palette already
present on the ground, and a strong sense of what the site could become in the future. These observations formed the
foundation of my design approach, guiding the architectural narrative and helping me imagine a space that responds to its
context while shaping a new identity for the site.
This project is a hotel designed to support the excitement and energy that surrounds major global sporting events. At
The heart of the concept is a small arena integrated into the site, creating a vibrant gathering space for fans and visitors.
The goal was to design more than a place to stay — it’s a destination that celebrates community, sports culture, and
the shared experience of coming together.
The aim is to design a place where visitors don’t just experience the hotel, but also connect with the park. I wanted the two
to blend so that the paths, views, and public spaces naturally link locals and visitors in one shared environment.
